Description
A baroque, symphonic and sumptuous perfume that required hundreds of tests to balance an extraordinarily expressive formula, Portait of a Lady contains probably the most generous dose of Turkish rose absolute combined with a heart of patchouli.
Dominique Ropion created an oriental rose built on a base of benzoin, cinnamon, sandalwood, musk, patchouli and incense.
An evocative scent of sensual beauty that attracts people like a magnet. A modern classic.
The perfumer: Dominique Ropion trained at the legendary Roure Bertrand Dupont laboratory in Grasse, before working with Jean-Louis Sieuzac, one of the greatest technicians in perfumery.
Today he is IFF's leading perfumer and his work is characterised by a mix of precision and freedom and by the constant search for new and harmonious accords that arise from the combination of opposite ingredients.
Adventurous and instinctive in his creative phase, he is also extremely rigorous in the final stages of the formulation of each of his fragrances.
